We provide low-income and farmworker children, youth, and families with access to educational, arts, and cultural programs, including baile Folklórico, guitar and music lessons, cultural activities, other opportunities that build skills and strengthen emotional well-beingh

Preserve Culture & Strengthen Community

These programs help participants build creativity, discipline, confidence, and practical skills while exploring and celebrating their cultural heritage. Each year, members take part in performances, events, projects, and workshops organized in partnership with community organizations, local leaders, and professional artists. Many of these opportunities are offered at no cost.

Invest in Our Youth

Half of our youth participants receive support through our educational, arts, and cultural programs. In return, they use their talents to give back through volunteering, leadership, and advocacy. They also contribute to community projects, including growing food in community gardens, promoting healthy habits through community walks, and collaborating with local cities on community development initiatives.

Help Keep Culture Alive

Supporting ENLACE helps create spaces where traditions are learned, practiced, and passed from one generation to the next while fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. ENLACE coordinates four major free community events with activities for families: National Night Out—Fiesta de Vecinos, held on the first Tuesday in August to connect neighbors and strengthen community bonds; the Hispanic Heritage Month Closing Celebration—KERMEZ Carnival, held on the fourth Saturday in October to honor our community’s contributions and cultural identity; Art on Donald Street, a late-fall and early-winter celebration featuring a major youth-created art project and free arts-and-crafts activities for families; and Fiesta de Primavera, a spring celebration hosted with local small-business partners at the flea market site in Salem’s Northgate neighborhood, featuring seed planting, music, and dancing.
